Project 1: Mommy Command Center

This is my little work area in the kitchen, which as you can see is pitiful.

The top two shelves contain liquer that hasn't been opened in years, an American flag that was flown over the White House in my name for 2 seconds, camera boxes, old candles, CD's, batteries, dishwasher warranty papers, ya know the essentials.

The bottom shelf contains a bowl of candy, a tin of glass beads that the boys play with, and a slew of allergy meds, ibuprofin, and of course, bubbles.

And the basket on the counter?  More of the same!  Vitamins, supplements, lip gloss, a rubber mouse named "skinny" that was taken away from my son as punishment, hand lotion, kid nail clippers, phone charger, etc.  And the counter space can quickly become a cascading, 3-foot pile of papers, coupons, menus, flyers, voter cards, library notices, newsletters, birthday party invitations, magazines, completed donation form for that Pet Adoption place that always sends the cute mailing labels (which I totally send in, every time).  And when the pile gets out of control, I shove it all into the bottom basket.  Not working.  Not working at all.  Just ask my husband after I presented him with an overdue water bill last week that I found burried under a commemorative White House Christmas ornament box. What's with all the White House paraphernalia in my kitchen anyway?!!

So this space is currently under construction..."Mommy Command Center" and where I got the ideas to be unveiled shortly!

Well hello there!

I'm Kim!  I am a loving wife to my sweet husband Michael and a homeschooling Mom to two smart and wild little boys ages 8 and 6 and a very happy and equally wild two-year-old little girl. A lot of WILD happening here! I'm a fan of simple living, home cooking, love, forgiveness, and dreaming up household projects that I sometimes even complete. This is a little space for me to share a bit of our life and document the multitude of things that we do.  Thanks for stopping by!
